I went by my boyfriend’s telephone after he received mugged and located the unthinkable

A young man has been left devastated after discovering his partner has been cheating on him for more than two years – and with with several people.

The man, 23, found out about his 33-year-old flight attendant partner’s taboo extra curricular activities after the older man was mugged on a night out.

‘He got back to the hotel and called me crying off his Apple Watch,’ the jilted boyfriend wrote on reddit.

He was then asked to deactivate his partner’s iPhone for him using his iPad which was at the home they shared.

He got the iPad password and quickly deactivated the phone as he was shattered his partner had been mugged while on a layover from work.

Out of nowhere he got a gut feeling to look through his partner’s messages.

He found out his partner had messaged – and even had ongoing relationships with – several people, and taken them to the home they shared.

He added for the past two years the older man has not been keen on getting intimate.

‘He told me “I’m dealing with health problems” or “I just feel self conscious about myself.” Meanwhile he has been hooking up with other people the ENTIRE time,’ he wrote.

The young man said he had felt something was amiss in the relationship but had ignored his gut feeling.

He said that this had been his only long-term relationship and he was terrified of breaking up with his other half.

He then asked what he should do and explained they live in a high-cost city so it will take some time to get in a financial situation to leave.

And that they own a dog together and while his partner picked and paid for the dog he is the pet’s number one human.

People were quick to comment – telling the man to pack his partner’s things so he could pick them up once he got off the plane.

‘He isn’t going to change, pack his stuff and kick him to the curb,’ one woman said.

Others had even harsher penalties in mind.

‘Use the iPad to unlock the phone so the muggers can have it – serves him right,’ one said.

‘I would unlock his phone, and send a gift to the muggers because without them you wouldn’t have been given the iPad password and seen the messages,’ said another.

The young man said he felt bad for going through the messages. But others said they would have too.

‘You aren’t in the wrong for finding the messages but you will be in the wrong if you choose to stay, have some self respect.’

‘You haven’t been intimate in years – that should have been the first red flag,’ one said.

Others said they wished they’d done the same given the chance.

‘If I had checked my ex’s phone when I suspected he was cheating, I would have saved myself three years of gaslighting and driving myself insane with paranoia,’ another said.

The younger man said he had trusted his partner and would have married them in a heartbeat had they asked… but is now worried their love life has been a lie.

‘Get tested, if he is sleeping around then get a full panel to be safe,’ one man said.

Some people questioned whether the man’s mugging was random or if he had gone home with the thief and then been robbed.
