Fellow shoppers were left horrified when a woman was seen picking up her dog’s poo in the middle of Primark.

It comes after shoppers noticed a major issue with some Primark mugs. Meanwhile, staff at the retailer spoke out after another viral video that spread recently.

In the latest video, the dog owner went viral after she was captured, bag in hand, picking up her dog’s mess in the middle of a Primark. Three large piles were left by the dog.

In the clip, which was shared by Irish bystander Elaine Leydon, the woman can be seen in a navy coat near the mess, which left three brown streaks on the shop floor. Elaine said the dog looked “embarrassed”.

“Why do people bring their dogs into shops?” Elaine asked in the caption to the clip, which was captured in Milan, Italy.

A resilient Primark employee had to stand near the poo to make sure it was not stepped on and spread around the store.

Annoyed people viewed the clip and expressed their dismay, with some offering their views on what the correct behaviour would be for bringing dogs into a shop. Many suggested this should be avoided altogether and one person explained that they once took their terrier into Primark, but made sure to carry them in and out.

One person wrote: “As a dog owner, I don’t get this new thing of taking your dog EVERYWHERE! Why do people feel so entitled to take them into shops & restaurants?”

One user said: “Honestly my dogs are my life I love them to pieces but it’s so unhygienic taking them in shops! I honestly don’t think it should be allowed unless they are a guide/therapy dog.”

Another said: “It’s unfair, the shop assistants have to clean that now.”

One person commented that this could have been an emotional support dog, but Elaine said she did not think this was the case. In response to one TikTok user who said the “poor little dog” may have become “nervous because there were a lot of people”, Elaine said: “Yes he did.”

Another person wrote: “Yeah I’ll just take me dog into the busiest most stressful place on the planet.”

Elaine agreed again, replying: “Exactly poor dog.”

She also explained that the woman did not have anything else with her that could have cleared up the mess.

The clip has been gone viral since it was posted yesterday. It already has more than 6,000 likes, 1,200 comments and a mammoth 1million views.
