Lorraine Kelly has branded Wynne Evans a ‘nutter’ for his sick sex jibes after he was axed from the Strictly tour.

Last week Wynne, 53 – who took part in last year’s series of the BBC dance show – was caught on film by The Mail on Sunday making a sexual comment about one of the show’s female hosts.

Wynne has since broken his silence and has agreed with the Beeb to step away from the tour and any other work commitments to ‘take some time out’.

And Lorraine, 65, shared her opinion on everything that has happened on Wednesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain.

Lorraine told hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid: ‘He has to think about what he has done, I don’t get it, I don’t understand it.

‘I don’t know why you would think that was acceptable?

‘What kind of nutter does that when you are being filmed?

‘It’s bad enough to think it, but then to actually say it!’

In The Mail on Sunday’s video, the Go Compare star was recorded suggesting a three-way sex session with Janette Manrara during a photo call for the Strictly tour.

The BBC radio presenter mentioned the word ‘spit roast’.

Wynne broke his silence about the situation on Tuesday evening on Instagram.

He said: ‘I’ve agreed with the BBC that I’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.

‘I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection.

‘Apologies to those I won’t get to see at the remaining performances and I’m grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me.’

It was also revealed that Wynne has reportedly split from his girlfriend Liz Brookes, 50, after she was left feeling ‘humiliated’ by his latest scandal

A source told The Sun: ‘Although she loyally stood by him in public, Liz was humiliated by what happened when he was on Strictly.

‘She always knew he was a bit old school, and actually liked the fact he seemed rough round the edges.

‘She just assumed it was all part of his charm.

‘It was very difficult for Liz, but she continued to back him throughout the rest of the contest, often being seen in the audience enthusiastically applauding him right up to him being knocked out in Blackpool week in November.

‘It’s not clear exactly when they split, but friends say that when his latest lewd gaffe was revealed at the Strictly Live Tour launch she was relieved they were no longer together.’

This isn’t the first scandal that Wynne was involved in during his stint on the BBC series.

The star was accused of ‘groping’ his dance partner Katya Jones, 35, live on air – which they later told fans was a joke.

Wynne was the eighth celebrity in the competition to be eliminated.

Despite that, he was announced as part of the Strictly tour line-up – hosted by Janette.

The famous faces who are taking part in the tour include Jamie Borthwick, Montell Douglas, Tasha Ghouri, JB Gill, Sarah Hadland and Shayne Ward.

The tour started in Birmingham on January 17 and will wrap up on February 9.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 from 6am and is available to stream on ITVX.
