All 67 passengers feared useless in American Airlines crash as our bodies pulled from river
Around 19 bodies have been recovered from the devastating crash that took place in Washington last night – but now there are fears all 67 passengers on board the American Airlines jet may have died.
In the early hours of the morning, a passenger on American Airline Flight 5342 crashed following a collision with a with a Blackhawk military helicopter at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Search and rescue operations are currently being performed, but seasoned professionals are worried the death toll might continue to rise after the 19th dead body was recovered.
The incident saw fatalities with 64 on board the plane and 19 confirmed dead. Survivors are being pulled out of the wreckage as the plane tragically crashed into the Potomac River.

It is thought the helicopter which collided with the passenger jet was deployed on a military practise exercise. Shocking footage revealed the moment the jets collided, with an air traffic warden asking the helicopter, “PAT25, do you have the CRJ in sight,” referring to the doomed passenger plane.
Current claims, pending an investigation, state the helicopter was “flying dark,” meaning it would not be immediately visible.
Now, all 67 people on board both aircraft that crashed down into the Potomac River are feared dead, Kansas Senator Roger Marshall said. The authorities also confirmed that there were no military officials on board.
He spoke to teams gathered at the airport, which remains closed, and revealed his current knowledge. “When one person dies it’s a tragedy, but when many, many, many people die it’s an unbearable sorrow,
“It’s a heartbreak beyond measure and I know Senator Moran and I are just here to say we care. We wish there’s more that we could do.”
Marshall said this is a time for Kansans “to join arms together. It’s really hard when you lose probably over 60 Kansans simultaneously.”

He also released a statement on his website, which reads: “Tonight, we received devastating news of what can only be described as nothing short of a nightmare. A plane, traveling to the Nation’s capital from Wichita, KS carrying roughly 60 passengers collided with a Military helicopter. My prayer is that God wraps his arms around each and every victim, and that he continues to be with their families.
“I have been in contact with local and national authorities asking for answers, and will continue to demand more information on how this unfolded.”
Newly-elected President Trump also reached out to the victims: “I have been fully briefed on the terrible accident which just took place at Reagan National Airport.
“May God Bless their souls.”
