Alvaro Morata‘s itinerant career could be set to continue on the banks of the Bosphorus with the striker reportedly in talks to join Galatasaray.

The striker has struggled for goals since joining AC Milan from Atletico Madrid over the summer, scoring just six times in 24 games. 

Milan are said to be on the hunt for another striker and Morata’s game time would therefore be limited at the San Siro. 

He is a familiar name to Premier League audiences, having spent two seasons with Chelsea between 2017 and 2019, scoring 24 times in 72 games. 

Now the 32-year-old could be set to decamp to Turkey, with Milan and Galatasaray in adanced talks according to journalist Fabrizio Romano

The news comes just days after it was confirmed that Morata and his wife Alice Campello are back together five months after announcing they had split

Morata is sometimes derided by fans for not scoring enough for an elite striker but there is little doubt over his technical ability, physicality, and link-up play.

His all-round game has made him a go-to man for Europe’s biggest clubs including Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, and Atletico Madrid – and they often have him back for a second stint. 

He put paid to the notion that he is not a goalscorer last season as he banged in 21 goals for Atletico Madrid.

The Spaniard was not as successful at Chelsea but he still won the Europa League and FA Cup. 

At Galatasaray he would team up with foremr Premier League stars Michy Batshuayi, Davinson Sanchez, and Lucas Torreira.

Mauro Icardi and Dries Mertens are also on their books, Victor Osimhen is on loan from Napoli, while Wilfried Zaha has been sent out temporarily to Charlotte FC in te MLS. 

Morata will be hoping that his newfound stability off the pitch can hep him discover his best form in Turkey as Galatasaray bid for a third straight title. 

He and Italian influencer wife Campello answered rumours they were going to give their love affair a second go by posting matching photos showing them smiling and kissing this week. 

The glamorous couple, who met in 2016 and have four young children, announced last August they were going their separate ways seven years after tying the knot.
