Shoppers are livid over a Goodwill rug with an ‘completely ridiculous’ price ticket

A rug spotted at a Goodwill store with an eye-watering price tag of $6,000 has shoppers crying foul.

Thrifting expert Grace Law posted a video on her popular Instagram account showing her inside an undisclosed Goodwill location where she discovered the pricey floor piece.

The 22-foot long, 15-foot wide ‘vintage Afghan’ rug had even been discounted from a whopping $17,000.

‘I have never in the endless amount of true thrift stores seen something priced this high before in-store,’ Law wrote in her video caption.

‘A rug this size isn’t something you see everyday, nor does the typical person have space for [it].’

Viewers were similarly shocked by the price.

‘Hi – Goodwill did you forget Everything is donated… That is Absolutely Ridiculous,’ one commenter wrote.

‘I refuse to shop or donate to goodwill anymore. Disgusting,’ another added.

Others took the thrift store chain to task for the prices of all of its items.

‘I’ve been thrifting for years and years bc it’s affordable (or was),’ one commenter wrote.

‘I genuinely appreciate more unique items and the chance to own something that I can’t afford new. Do better Goodwill! Your clothes are expensive now too.’

Another stated: ‘The rug looks beautiful but recently I feel that @goodwillintl is trippin with its prices.’

One shopper claimed they no longer frequent Goodwill.

‘That’s a ridiculous price. I quit shopping Goodwill here in Ohio,’ the person wrote.

‘They send all the “good stuff” to their online auction site. What’s left is actually high priced junk.’

Multiple people insisted that no one would buy the rug and that it would end up in ‘storage’ or thrown in the trash.

‘They’ll probably end up selling it for $200 or it will end up at the bins,’ one commented.

‘Even on 50% off day, it’s still gonna sit there – Hope they like looking at it,’ another said.

However, some said it was a fair price.

‘Wow I mean, from a “value” perspective I understand the price,’ one commenter wrote.

‘If its hand made of wool some go for up to 85k..,’ another claimed.
