It looks as though he may be racing to break up the inappropriate brawl – but instead as soon as he reaches the pair he immediately joins in the fight.
Then as the three struggle on the grass a fourth man, also in a white jumper, is seen charging towards them and trying to break them up.
He then pins the other man in the white jumper to the ground as the man filming who yells: ‘Get hold of them. Get them split up.’
A fifth man is then seen running down the hill with a golf club in his hand towards the mass of bodies.
It then becomes clear that the row developed as players have become frustrated by perceived delays in moving around the course because the man filming complains: ‘What is he running down for now? Get back on the tee.’
His pal says off camera: ‘He has got a club in his hand him. I dare you to shout “Hurry up”.’
Despite being told not to aggravate the situation by his female partner, the man filming does indeed then yell: ‘Hurry up.’

Many of those who have viewed the footage online say there is no doubt the ungentlemanly behaviour was linked to ‘slow play’
The woman who is also behind the camera, then adds while watching the brawl: ‘That’s not nice. We have been coming here since 1991 and never seen anything like it.’

Among those who commented on the video was TV star Vernon Kay who joked: ‘A low stinger would have sorted that’.
This is a reference to a low shot that could have endangered players ahead – ie a joke that such a shot would have encouraged the group ahead to play more quickly.
Outline Golf Club confirmed they were aware of the incident which is understood to have happened 2-3 months ago.

This is where one party of golfers is spending too long on the hole, either because they are taking too long over their shots or using the wrong tees.
This leads to frustration to those waiting behind them. Golfers say the right thing to do in these situations is to allow those following to ‘play through’.
But in his case the frustration has boiled over into footage widely shared on social media and leading to jokey comments about the warring players needing to ‘improve their swing’.
