Love Island’s Katie Salmon is seen for the primary time because the tragic loss of life of her ex-fiancé – as she enjoys candy date evening with businessman boyfriend Joe

Katie Salmon was seen for the first time since the tragic death of her ex-fiancé on Friday – as she enjoyed a sweet date night in Manchester with her businessman boyfriend Joe Rossi.

The former Love Island star, 29, looked stunning in a sheer black long-sleeved top, flashing a glimpse of her bra underneath.

She teamed the racy look with a frilly mini skirt and tights, adding a pair of pointy black heels which featured a glittering diamante heart design.

Katie opted for a glamorous palette of makeup to elevate her natural beauty and wore her dark tresses in a neat slicked back style. 

She flashed a smile as she held hands with her boyfriend Joe, 39, who cut a casual figure in grey joggers and a quarterzip jacket.

The duo put on an animated display as they pulled faces and appeared to share a joke before gazing into each other’s eyes. 

It’s the first time Katie has been seen out and about since she announced the tragic death of her ex fiancé and father of her daughter Thiaga, Harry. 

Katie, who is now in a relationship with Joe, split from Harry six months after the birth of their first child, in September 2022.

In early December 2024, she posted a photo of Harry and their daughter Thiaga, 2, to announce his death alongside an emotional message in which she said she was trying to ‘navigate this pain’. His cause of death is unknown.

She wrote: ‘Trying to navigate this pain. The highest highs and the lowest lows with you. It’s so sad to know you’ll never see what a beautiful little girl she is or who she will become.

‘I hope your soul finds peace Harry [heartbreak emoji].’

MailOnline has contacted Katie’s representatives for a comment.

And in a heartfelt Instagram post at the beginning of January, Katie, who is a born-again Christian wrote: ‘Happy new year to all. I’ve taken some time of [sic] social to just re align as well as grieve and just be present with my daughter and family.

‘The year ended with sad news but I have every faith this year is the year for all answered prayers and healings.

‘I’m always shocked at how I manage to get through the things I do and that’s because of God.’

‘Thank you for supporting me and I can’t wait to get back to creating real content for you all that’s authentic to me and my life.

‘God bless you all let’s make 2025 the best yet.’

Katie first gave fans a glimpse of her new boyfriend Joe – the director of a herbal supplements company Life Seed Botanicals – in November, when she shared a cosy image cuddled up at an event.  

She looked happier than ever as she shared a series of sweet snaps with Joe on Monday.

The Love Island star gushed about her new man on Instagram as she shared a picture cuddling up on a dinner date that she captioned: ‘Happiness with you ’

She added a selfie of the pair on her Stories, writing: ‘Love you’.

Prior to dating Harry she was in high profile relationships with the late Love Island co-star Sophie Gradon, who died by suicide in June 2019.

The mother-of-one found fame after appearing on ITV2’s Love Island in 2016, where she made history by pairing up with Sophie in the show’s first same-sex couple.

Reflecting on her life as a single mother-of-one, Katie previously addressed how she has ‘only just got the hang of coping alone’.

Sharing a sweet post with her rarely-seen daughter, Thaiga, Katie wrote: ‘It’s actually true, flamingos lose their pink while they are pregnant and it doesn’t return back for quite some time after.

‘Motherhood is by far the most challenging, rewarding job I have ever had and it feels like now after nearly 2 years am only just getting the hang of it and coping a lot more being a single mum.

‘Raising a child alone or with help has its challenges, a whole little life is dependent on you. It took me so long to get used to.

‘The fact that am now a mother still feels like a dream and although everything in my life needed to be put on hold to focus on my little girl. What a journey it’s been.. it’s took some time to get used to our new life.

‘But I feel so lucky and blessed to be at this point in comparison to the first six months after she was born.

‘I really struggled, Having my best friend and baby girl by my side every day through good times and bad makes this journey off life that even more special to share with her.

‘So new mammas, mammas to be. Your pink will return I promise; it does get easier and the hard times will pass or we just learn more patience and let us remember one day we will want to slow this journey down and re do it all again.

‘Your a powerful woman who’s doing a great job at raising your little cub. Your baba appreciates and loves you more than anything.’
