The downfall of poisonous Love Island star: Jack Fincham left penniless and going through jail after his life spiraled uncontrolled with agony of cocaine baron father, £150-a-day medication behavior, driving ban and canine assaults
He was the loveable ‘bad boy’ who charmed his way to victory on the fourth series of Love Island with his then girlfriend Dani Dyer.
But now Jack Fincham is penniless and facing prison after his life spiraled out of control thanks to a £150-a-day drug habit, numerous driving offences and a very public break up.
The 32-year-old was yesterday sentenced to six weeks in jail after his black cane corso dog Elvis bit a runner in 2022, although he is now out on bail pending an appeal.
It is a new low for the 2018 Love Island winner, who’s £50,000 shared winnings were followed by brand endorsements, promotion events and a YouTube boxing deal that netted him an estimated £1million.
Fincham has now been ordered to pay £3680 to the courts, including a £200 compensation fee to his victim and a £50 compensation fee to a second unnamed victim.
But in a sign of his reduced circumstances, he has been forced to negotiate a deal to pay off the money in £400 monthly installments.
The recent court appearance is only the latest in a long line of blows for the star, who has long been fighting against a drug addiction.
In August 2023, he was stopped by police while driving to see a friend and found to be high on cocaine.

Fincham originally shot to fame after winning the 2018 iteration of reality TV show Love Island alongside Dani Dyer , daughter of actor Danny Dyer

He later admitted to the offence, as well as driving without insurance and using false number plates on his £50,000 BMW 520D.
The drug-driving conviction was Fincham’s second in five months after he was banned from driving for three years the previous October.
Despite walking free from court, the case all but ended his TV, with Fincham hearing he had been axed from Celebs Ex on the Beach while on his way to the airport – a moment he described as ’embarrassing’.
The following year, he was also axed form Love Island All Stars.
Fincham, whose estranged father Mark Gard previously spent time behind bars for cocaine dealing, found some solace with a brief boxing career.
Having taken part in the undercard of Floyd Mayweather’s bout against Youtuber Deji in 2022, Fincham was due to fight again in a special exhibition in Harrow at the beginning of March.
But following that 2022 fight, Fincham spoke of how he went into ‘self destruct mode’ by partying for 18 months.
‘I went into complete self destruct mode. I was already battling with addiction, at the time I was going into that fight. I was battling addiction quite secretly for a few years, as well’, he told Amber O’Donnell

Fincham’s girlfriend Chloe Brockett, who he’s seen with yesterday, broke down in tears upon hearing the magistrates verdict

He previously came under fire from his Instagram followers for purchasing the dog from Russia in 2021 because of its cropped ears
‘I was out every weekend, you know, taking drugs and drinking and just doing things that have lost me jobs, lost me friends.
‘I’d always fall back on my family. But I think even they got to a point where they were too sick of hearing it’, he added.
In an attempt to combat these destructive habits, Fincham entered rehab after becoming addicted to cocaine and diazepam pills.
‘Death was on the cards for me, it was imminent,’ he confessed at the time.
However, despite attending the Haynes Clinic in Bedfordshire, Fincham allegedly relapsed just a number of months later following the conclusion of his treatment.
In November 2023, it was also reported that the former Love Island star had returned to his previous job as a pen salesman while he attempted to get back on his feet and attended therapy.
Court hearings for Fincham’s dog attack case heard how the TV personality’s irresponsible behaviour had increased the severity of his sentence.
In September 2022 his dog Elvis bit runner Robert Sudell. Originally the victim was willing to accept an apology and a caution, where Fincham would engage in responsibility on dog ownership course.

In March, Fincham was spared jail after speeding his £50,000 car during a cocaine binge

In one incident, in Grays, Essex, in June last year, the dog, a hulking Black Cane Corso, caused no injury
This would be to ensure he abided by three stipulations; keep the dog on the lead, for the dog to wear a muzzle when outside and to not leave the animal alone with anyone under the age of 16.
However, there was another incident in June 2024, where Elvis grabbed the leg and ‘applied pressure’ to the calf of a woman.
This incident occurred when Fincham was three months into his suspended sentence for drug driving.
Other things taken into consideration by the magistrates were photos posted by Fincham on Facebook showing him having taken Elvis to the pub in Kent, without a muzzle or a lead on, in breach of his conditions.
At the time Fincham claimed that because the pub was dog-friendly he did not think it would be an issue.
Ms Anne Wade said on sentencing: ‘Some responsibility has been taken for his actions and note some compliance with probation.’

Should Fincham comply with the three stipulations the court has set from him, his dog can be returned.
The reality TV personality imported Elvis from Russia in 2021.
Shortly afterwards, he shared images of the dog showing its ears had been cropped – a practice that is illegal in the UK – leading to criticism from PETA.
Fincham hit back by sharing a photo of the dog on Instagram with the caption: ‘My best friend in the whole world.
‘Have a story to tell you very soon. Sometimes I think this country is done honestly.’
His lawyer told MailOnline yesterday: ‘We are disappointed that the Magistrates did not find it would be unjust to activate the Suspended Sentence Order.
‘However, the case remains finely poised, and we are optimistic that in the fulness of time, the Crown Court will uphold Mr Fincham’s appeal.’
