An Arsenal fan has been slammed for his “embarrassing charity advert” aimed at Stan Kroenke.

The Gunners, who have been cut adrift by Liverpool at the summit of the Premier League table, didn’t make a signing in January. Despite fans – and club icon Thierry Henry – all calling out for a new No.9 after Gabriel Jesus’ season ending injury.

And in a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, the fan said: “Stan Kroenke, this message is for you. Straight from the heart of every Arsenal fan sat watching this video.

Mikel Arteta has given everything to this club, the way he’s built this team, the way the players believe in him, the way the fans feel a sense of unity that was missing for so many years.”

He continued: “This window was the moment, the chance to take this team to the next level – and yet here we are. Still waiting for investment that was never made; still waiting for the signings that could have tipped us over the finish line.

“Still waiting for you to show us that you actually care.”

He outlined that with a thin squad, it’s a massive risk not to sign a player. He added, over sombre music: “We’re not asking for miracles, we’re asking for you to make this dream a reality!”

However, fans were quick to rip on the video, with one joking: “Blokes filmed a WWF advert over not signing Ollie Watkins. That fanbase can’t go a day without further embarrassing themselves!”

“Never thought I’d say this but I am begging for Liverpool to win the league,” a second said. While a third replied: “Definitely not from my heart… How you watched this back and still decided to post this is so beyond me!”

“Probably the most forced self entitled fan base in the world,” a fourth posted. And another added: “Is this now the most unbearable fanbase on the internet?
