David Beckham met his ‘long-lost twin brother’, who is a major Hollywood star, as part of an advert for the Super Bowl as the England legend swapped a round ball for an egg-shaped one
David Beckham was reunited with his ‘long-lost twin brother’ as part of an advert for the Super Bowl.
The England legend was joined by Hollywood A-lister actor Matt Damon in a Stella Artois advert, which will air during Super Bowl LIX on Sunday. As Beckham’s work with the alcohol company and American lifestyle came together.
Stella’s commercial paired their global ambassador Beckham and long-time poster boy Damon in a brilliant ‘David and Dave’ advert. The two stars are the face of a new full year campaign called ‘For Moments Worth More.’
The advert begins with Beckham being told by his parents that he has a long-lost twin brother, called ‘Other David’, who lives out in America. In his bid to be reunited with his sibling, Beckham travels to America and rings on the doorbell of a huge mansion. Damon then opens the door and introduces himself as ‘Dave Beckham’.
Dave then leads David around to his back garden where Damon introduces his guest to Buffalo wings, which Beckham has a hard time grasping the meat is actually chicken and not buffalo.
The differences between the two become even more obvious when Damon smashes an American Football high into the sky in Beckham-esque fashion. But the two then bond over their shared enjoyment of Stella as the ad ends.
Damon began working with Stella in 2015, while Beckham added the brand to his long list of partnerships last year. The Inter Miami owner has also been the face of Haig Club scotch whisky for the last nine years.
Beckham’s endorsements also include recent work with Ninja kitchen appliances, Nespresso, AliExpress and TEMPUR Mattress and is also an ambassador for UNICEF and the 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund.
