Luke Littler reveals key recommendation he gave to Harry Redknapp’s ‘Best Worst’ workforce

EXCLUSIVE Harry Redknapp is once again looking to coach a win out of Britain’s ‘Best Worst’ team – and he’s enlisted the help of World Darts Champion Luke Littler

Specsavers have embarked on a national campaign to find the worst performing football team in the UK with the hopes of turning the struggling team’s fortunes around. As a result, they have awarded Tunley Athletic FC,who currently play in the Uhlsport Somerset County League, the title of “Specsavers’ Best Worst Team”. Unknown to them, today they received a surprise visit from teenage sensation and poster boy of darts, Luke Littler. on December 01, 2024 in Bath, Wales.

Harry Redknapp is again taking up the challenge of his managerial career.

And, this time, he’s enlisted Luke Littler to help.

Redknapp is currently at the helm of Tunley Athletic as he tries to earn a win out of the side who lost every single game they played in last season. And the ex-Tottenham boss turned to Littler for a bit of motivation.

“In football you’ve got to stick together as a whole team,” Littler told Daily Star Sport while promoting Specsavers Best Worst team project. “There’s always going to be mistake, in darts as well as football, but you’ve always got to stick together.

“And the situation that they find themselves in…they always want to win a game. But stick together and I’m sure it’ll come!”

Littler put on a masterclass for the Tunley side, pitting himself against the team in a series of challenges to try and bring the team together.

He won all of them comfortably, even when playing blindfolded. However, Tunley’s manager Duncan Fear stunned his team, and the World Champion, when he casually nailed a 180.

The Nuke was impressed, adding he believes Redknapp can coach a win: “I think he can.

“He’s been all over the country and all over the world managing different teams. And I think he can get at least a win!”

And when quizzed if there are any similarities between the two sports, the World Champ said: “You’ve got to keep your head; you’ve got to keep focused.

“In darts, you’ve got to go all the way for however many legs you do play – you’ve got to get over the finish line.

“In football there’s 90 minutes plus however much added time. There’s a long way to go so you’ve got to keep your head until the final whistle!”
