Lycra-clad girl disowned over ‘downward canine’ movies with ex however she’s having final snicker
Kat Holmes and her ex-boyfriend Romeo Wanigabaduge, 25, still meet daily to film content for their social media channels despite breaking up – but Kat claims her family don’t approve
An influencer claims she was “disowned” by family members for making raunchy yoga videos with her ex on TikTok. But she’s the one laughing as she now owns multiple houses.
Kat Holmes and her ex-boyfriend Romeo Wanigabaduge, 25, meet daily to film content for their social media channels.
However the 23-year-old’s decision to make a career out of performing the “downward dog” in Lycra did not land well with some members of her family.
She claims some “disassociated” from her and some even said “you’re not a relation anymore.”
However the difficult response has not put Kat off and the couple now boast an impressive 1,400,000 TikTok followers, 288,000 Instagram followers and 137,000 subscribers on YouTube.
And their decision to ignore their critics appears to be paying off, as they claim their huge following earns them anywhere between $800,000AUD and $1,000,000AUD [£406,000 – £508,000] per year.
The pair also claim to own more than 10 properties and are planning to buy their first Lamborghini.
And while most couldn’t bear being in the same room as their ex, Kat and Romeo say they are thankful they ended on good terms and are “compatible personalities.”
And Romeo admits that he still thinks they may end up together at some point in the future.
Kat, from Sydney, Australia, said: “Some of my family is very religious and very conservative so it [Only Fans] came as a shock to them.
“They just disassociated and said ‘you’re not our relation anymore’.
“I was quite sad about it at the time. My job hasn’t changed who I am. I’m still the same person. [Some members of my family] don’t really have a relationship with me anymore.
“However I never considered stopping doing what I’m doing just to try to earn someone’s approval. If they don’t like what I am doing, that is their problem.”
While Romeo’s family disapproved of his decision at first, he says that they have become a lot more accepting now that they can see the results of his hard work.
Romeo said: “If I go to dinner with my parents then I’ll pick up the bill. Whenever I can I’ll pay for whatever I can.
“They are [more accepting] now because they can see how good I’m doing. I’ve bought 11 properties, which are worth around $5,000,000 (AUD), and I have a pretty high net worth at the moment.
“We’re looking into buying a Lamborghini but for now it’s just property because it does so well in Australia. We could literally retire right now but the money keeps coming in so we just stay.”
Kat’s next goal is to put her parents into early retirement – using the millions of dollars earned from flaunting her curvy body online.
Kat said: “I guess you always want to help your parents out right? Putting my parents into early retirement is what I’m working towards.
“They looked after me for 18 years and so I’d like to try and give back to them.”
Kat and Romeo had known each other for more than 10 years but officially started dating in 2020 after they both “swiped right” and matched on Tinder.
The pair became boyfriend and girlfriend quickly after their first date to a sushi train restaurant.
Shortly after, they began sharing some of the most intimate parts of their relationship with subscribers on their Only Fans account.
Romeo said: “We set up the [Only Fans] page during Covid in 2021 but we weren’t making any money. Nobody was buying anything and we were like ‘s***, how can we get more eyeballs?’
“We saw everyone was on TikTok. We had our first viral TikTok video and that led to our first $1,000 day [on Only Fans ].
“We were like ‘oh f***, there’s something here’. It was like a lightbulb moment for us. TikTok really helped our Only Fans channel blow up.”
After three years together, the couple broke up in 2023.
But despite calling it quits with their relationship, the full-time content creators say they never questioned putting a stop to filming raunchy content together.
The duo now live separately and meet almost every day to film their videos.
Romeo said: “We knew it was something that we wanted to carry on with.
“We realised that there was way more value in the page than just letting it go and going back to a normal job.”
