Luke Littler loves Manchester United.

However, like any relationship, it has its ups and downs – but Littler, 18, knows how to fix the Red Devils. “It’s not been right for many, many years,” he told Daily Star Sport when promoting Specsavers’ Best Worst team campaign.

“Maybe you could have given David Moyes more time?

“I’ve seen Sir Alex’s last season, Jose Mourinho do very well with us, Louis van Gaal win the FA Cup and at the minute it’s just a case of getting the old players out of the club and bring some fresh ideas to the club!”

The Red Devils find themselves languishing in the bottom half of the table under new boss Ruben Amorim.

And Amorim appears to have heard the darting sensations advice, as he picked up two young signings in the January transfer window.

The Red Devils welcomed Patrick Dorgu, from Serie A side Lecce, who made his debut against Leicester City in the FA Cup and 18-year-old Ayden Heaven from Arsenal.

Littler watched United’s FA Cup win on Friday night with close friend AngryGinge. The Red Devils booked their spot into the fifth round of the cup thanks to a last-gasp winner from Harry Maguire.

However, Maguire was offside for the goal – but the lack of VAR saw the header stand.

United are looking to defend their crown, but even Littler doesn’t want to predict when the Red Devils can next lift the Premier League: “No idea!”

Littler also dropped the bombshell he would be interested in purchasing a team in the future – but it’s not United: ““It would be an investment for myself in the coming years.

“I’ve got a local team, Warrington Town, who are in National League North. Maybe that could be an idea for the future.”
