Snoring is our top night-time annoyance, a study found. Half of Brits said they couldn’t stand a partner who snorted and snuffled through the wee hours.

More than a third – 37% – hate dirty sheets, while almost as many (35%) get wound up by their lover stealing the duvet. Excessive tossing and turning (35%) and snackers who leave crumbs in bed (33%) round off our top five icks.

Loud breathing, those who hide food under their pillow, a messy boudoir, smelly morning breath and sleep talkers also infuriate us. Three in 10 respondents admit they get a better night’s sleep without their other half.
