A woman was reportedly shot on Valentine’s Day at a pub in Kent in front of horrified customers.
Police were called to the scene at the Three Horseshoes pub in Kent just after 7pm. A police cordon remains in place outside the establishment on Main Road in Knockholt after authorities found a woman in her 40s who had “suffered serious injuries”.
Authorities are now hunting for the suspect who fled the area before officers arrived, a man believed to be known to the victim.
Witnesses said that shots were fired by the suspect, but this has yet to be confirmed by police. A man whose daughter was in the Three Horseshoes Pub at the time of the incident told KentOnline there had been a shooting.
A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 7.02pm to a report of a disturbance at the Three Horseshoes pub in Main Road, Knockholt. Officers attended the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service where a woman in her 40s had suffered serious injuries.
“The suspect, a man who is believed to be known to the victim, left the area and is currently outstanding. Enquiries to locate him and to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.”
The pub posted on its Facebook page, announcing it will be shut today “following a tragic incident outside the pub last night.”
