Gang swarms Birmingham hospital and dysfunction erupts after boy, 16 stabbed

A large group swarmed a UK hospital where a 16-year-old boy was rushed after being stabbed.

West Midlands Police said the 16-year-old boy was knifed on Pretoria Road in Bordesley Green, Birmingham at around 3.30pm on Saturday (February 15).

He was rushed to Heartlands Hospital with serious injuries and remains in a stable condition in hospital. But later that evening, crowds gathered at the hospital and disorder ensued.

Police said that trouble involved a number of people and is believed to be linked to the stabbing incident, BirminghamLive reports.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating after a teenager was stabbed in Bordesley Green, Birmingham yesterday (Saturday).

“We were called to reports of a stabbing in Pretoria Road at around 3.30pm.

“A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.

“An investigation is underway to establish the details.

‘We are also investigating reports of disorder involving a number of people at a Birmingham hospital which is believed to be linked to the stabbing incident.
