Shocking second automobile explodes right into a ball of flames on a residential London avenue after a vandal set it and himself alight – then cycles away
This is the moment a thug on an e-bike gets scorched while setting fire to a car with a cigarette lighter.
The hooded arsonist is captured on CCTV in the dead of night calmly walking up to what appears to be a Cupra SUV parked along a residential street in Walthamstow, east London.
He raises both arms in the air and smashes something through the rear window of the motor.
Despite the lights flashing and the car alarm blaring, he douses liquid from what looks like a jerry can before chucking it inside the car.
He then walks away and crouches on the pavement before returning and lighting a cigarette lighter.
Within seconds a massive flame of light can be seen before a explosion is heard.
The crook is then seen scampering away with the sleeve of his top on fire as ferocious flames engulf and flicker from the rear of the car.
He runs and waves his arm around to put out the flames and then gets onto an e-bike and pedalling away.

In another video firefighters can be seen tending to the charred remains of the vehicle. The camera then spans to inside the rear of the vehicle and shows a jerry can embedded in the melted metal
The inside of the car has been heavily damaged after the arson attack with a caption alongside the video reading: ‘I’d rather tell everyone n let everyone know, not for attention, but to let you all know that jealousy and nazar (evil eye) is real’
It is currently not known which road the attack took place but a timestamp on the footage posted on X says it took place on Friday, February 14 at 1.39am.
The clip was also posted on TikTok with the message: ‘For everyone asking about the cctv footage, this is what the nerd looked like, not much to see but if everyone could repost and try find anything on this guy it would be much appreciated.
‘He was on an e-bike and it had to strips of tape going around the middle of the bike.’
