Vinicius Junior has officially moved into the world of football club ownership with the purchase of Portuguese side FC Alverca.
According to Brazilian TV station Record, the Brazilian is part of a consortium that have bought a majority stake in the second tier outfit.
The previous owner, Ricardo Vicintin, sold somewhere between 70 and 80 per cent of the club to the Madrid star and his partners.
A statement from the club read: ‘FC Alverca – Futebol, SAD announces that engineer Ricardo Vicintin has sold his qualified stake in the company to a group of Spanish and Brazilian investors.’
The financial details remain undisclosed at this point though more information is expected in the coming weeks.
Vinicius is not the first Los Blancos man to make such a move with Kylian Mbappe making headlines last year after becoming the majority shareholder in French side Stade-Malherbe Caen.
