Boy, 10, combating for all times after being struck down by a automobile on his option to faculty in Western Sydney

A boy has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after being knocked down by a car in Western Sydney.

Emergency services responded to the incident on North Liverpool Road, Mount Pritchard, at 8.40am.

The young boy sustained severe injuries to his limbs, chest, pelvis, and head.

He was rushed to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition for further treatment.

A witness reported that the female driver screamed in horror after allegedly hitting the boy.

‘I saw this lady, she hit the child on the road, he was going to school,’ another witness told reporters.

A woman was seen sitting on the road surrounded by police after the incident. She was later escorted into a police vehicle.

Another woman – possibly the boy’s mother – was visibly distressed and could be heard crying out as she was loaded into an ambulance on a stretcher.

Emergency services were holding up a screen as they tended to the boy at a scene before he was taken to hospital.

Police are investigating how the boy was allegedly hit.
