Top UK grownup stars help Rebecca Goodwin as ‘shameful’ podcast row rumbles on
Rebecca Goodwin was ridiculed and insulted by a trio of male podcast hoses after she tried to put forward her case that people in her line of work do contribute to society
Several adult stars have come out in solidarity with Rebecca Goodwin – who is at the centre of a podcast walkout storm. On Monday the Daily Star reported how Becky Mil/Rebecca Goodwin was appearing on the Reality Check Show when the conversation turned to where the dignity lies in her line of work.
She said: “There’s no dignity in working for someone who’s really, really rich. Where’s the dignity in setting your alarm for 6am to get up to go and make their pockets even bigger and give them more money while you’re sat there all day.”
But before she could carry on, one of the hosts jumped in and said that that kind of job “has more dignity than what you do”.
An undignified conversation ensued where Rebecca was shouted down and ridiculed by the three male hosts, which led to her walking out in disgust.
The hosts were met with a swathe of backlash once a clip of the interaction was posted online, however, the hosts said: “Ask yourself this—was she really ‘intimidated’ or ‘bullied’ by three men on the podcast? Or did she lose her temper because she was embarrassed?”
However, in the 24 hours since it was posted, the vast majority of comments have been in support for Rebecca – including from fellow adult stars.
Lana Wolf commented: “Honestly good on her. Might seem extreme but she’s entitled to her opinion being in the industry as long as she has. Freedom of speech and all that.”
Chloe McKay wrote: “You disrespected her. You should all be ashamed.” And fellow adult star Ivy Maddox and others slamming the hosts and claiming that no other adult stars would ever appear on their show.
Hundreds of comments from Instagram users also showed support for Rebecca, including many stating that the podcast now needs “cancelling” while others called for the footage to be removed, after Rebecca took to her own Instagram post-show recording to withdraw her consent to footage being published – something clearly ignored by the trio behind it.
The Daily Star has reached out directly to Rebecca and her management for a comment.
