Donald Trump loses plot with ‘dictator’ Volodymyr Zelensky in mad Ukraine ‘gravy practice’ rant
Donald Trump has bizarrely claimed Ukraine hero Volodymyr Zelensky is a “dictator”, as the US President reaffirms his commitment to Vladimir Putin.
The US President has been engaging in “peace talks” with Russian warlord Putin this week, while Zelensky was notably uninvited to the negotiations. Trump was reportedly prepared to offer up portions of Ukraine to Russia, in order to ensure the fighting finished. An election in Ukraine was also believed to be part of any deal, despite there being no real appetite for an election in the war-torn country.
Trump launched a weird rant on his own Truth social platform, claiming Zelensky is refusing elections, is running very low in election polling, and risks “not having a country left”.

He wrote: “Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn’t be won, that never had to start, but a War that he, without the U.S. and ‘TRUMP’, will never be able to settle.
“The United States has spent $200 Billion Dollars more than Europe, and Europe’s money is guaranteed, while the United States will get nothing back. Why didn’t Sleepy Joe Biden demand Equalization, in that this War is far more important to Europe than it is to us — We have a big, beautiful Ocean as separation.

“On top of this, Zelenskyy admits that half of the money we sent him is ‘MISSING.’ He refuses to have Elections, is very low in Ukrainian Polls, and the only thing he was good at was playing Biden ‘like a fiddle.’
“A Dictator without Elections, Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left. In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only ‘TRUMP,’ and the Trump Administration, can do. Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the ‘gravy train’ going. I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died – And so it continues…..”

Trump’s ignorant monologue came after Zelensky said the US President was living in a “disinformation bubble”, and was largely spouting Putin’s propaganda. Russia had repeatedly tried to blame Ukraine for starting the war, despite Putin’s army invading Ukraine almost three years ago.
Zelensky said in a press conference earlier today: “I am protecting Ukraine, I can’t sell it away, I can’t sell our state,” he told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday. With all due respect to President Donald Trump, as the leader of a nation that we respect greatly… (he) is living in this disinformation space.”

The comments continued a remarkable back-and-forth between Trump and Zelensky; leaders of two countries that have been staunch allies under Joe Biden. The US was providing crucial military equipment to Kyiv to fend off the invasion and used its political weight to defend Ukraine and isolate Russia on the world stage.
Trump launched a new course, reaching out for a warm Putin embrace while pushing for a peace deal. Senior officials from both countries held talks Tuesday to discuss improving ties, negotiating an end to the war and potentially preparing a meeting between Trump and Putin after years of frosty relations.
