During an interview on Tuesday, Jeffries attempted to point out that Trump and “extreme MAGA Republicans spent last year promising to lower the high cost of living and running away from Project 2025 as if it didn’t exist.”

But Jeffries didn’t refer to Trump by name, opting to mock the president by calling him “Captain Chaos.”

Although Jeffries seemed momentarily pleased with the wordplay in the clip above, most folks on social media thought it was pretty lame as insults go.

HuffPost reached out to Jeffries for comment on the reaction to his “Captain Chaos” nickname, but no one immediately responded.
