We requested AI to foretell Premier League scores with extra woes for Man Utd and title battle
EXCLUSIVE: The Daily Star has tried to travel forward in time by seeing what this weekend’s Premier League results are going to be, with a little help from artificial intelligence
The days of football fans waiting for Match of the Day to find out who beat who each week in the Premier League are long gone.
And now it even pains fans to wait until the end of a game to see who the victor was, with supporters distracted by all manner of modern technology and social media updates.
In a bid to evolve with such impatient times, the Daily Star has gone in pursuit of trying to find out winners before a ball has even been kicked.
Thanks to Elon Musk’s artificial-intelligence powered large language model called Grok, we’ve put together a full fixture list of predictions for the upcoming weekend games.
So will Ruben Amorin find any joy (probably not) and will Liverpool increase their lead at the top of the league? Let’s find out, with added commentary from Grok…
Everton vs Man United (Saturday, 12.30pm):
With Manchester United’s poor form, Everton might capitalise on this at home. Prediction: Everton 2-0 Man United
Bournemouth vs Wolves (Saturday, 3pm):
Both teams have had inconsistent seasons, but Wolves might have a slight edge. Prediction: Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth
Arsenal vs West Ham (Saturday, 3pm):
Arsenal have been strong this season, especially at home. Prediction: Arsenal 3-1 West Ham
Fulham vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3pm):
This could be a close game, but considering home advantage, I’ll go with Fulham. Prediction: Fulham 2-1 Crystal Palace
Ipswich vs Tottenham (Saturday, 3pm):
Tottenham should have the upper hand here, especially considering the difference in league standings. Prediction: Tottenham 3-0 Ipswich
Southampton vs Brighton (Saturday, 3pm):
Brighton have been performing well, so I’d predict a win for them. Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Southampton
Aston Villa vs Chelsea (Saturday, 5.30pm):
Chelsea have been inconsistent, but they might pull off a win here. Prediction: Chelsea 2-2 Aston Villa
Leicester vs Brentford (Friday, 8pm):
By the time you’re reading this prediction, this game will already have taken place. But Grok’s prediction was Leicester 1-1 Brentford
Newcastle vs Nottingham Forest (Sunday, 2pm):
Newcastle have been in good form, so they should win this. Prediction: Newcastle 2-0 Nottingham Forest
Man City vs Liverpool (Sunday, 4.30pm):
This is always a tough match to predict, but given Man City’s home advantage, I’ll go with them to manage a draw. Prediction: Man City 2-2 Liverpool
