Mexican bodybuilder Grishall Disner discovered useless in restroom of a bar

An up-and-coming Mexican bodybuilder was found dead from two gunshot wounds in the bathroom of a Mexico City bar.

Grishall Disner, 23, had been enjoying drinks at Kows Bar on Wednesday night when he suddenly left his table to use the restroom, according to The Mirror.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots, before they rushed to the bathroom where they found Disner with gunshot wounds to the stomach and head, Record reports.

The bar was quickly evacuated as police began their investigation, and paramedics pronounced Disner dead at the scene.

It is now believed Disner took his own life after ‘drinking heavily,’ with local reports saying he had carried a gun to the bar.

But the investigation into Disner’s untimely death is ongoing, with local police combing through surveillance footage to figure out what happened.

Adding to the fervor to investigate his death is the fact that Disner is the son of Jorge Disner, the homicide commander for the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office.

The 23-year-old had made a name for himself as a bodybuilder after he won both the Mr. America Jr and Mr Mexico Jr titles in the +90kg category in 2023, and earned the Absoluto Mr. CDMX Jr championship that same year.

In his community, Disner uses his skills to coach others at a local gym, helping them to get fit. 

On social media, Disner had become a well-known fitness influencer who would share training videos to his thousands of followers via Instagram and TikTok.

Following the news of his death, tributes poured in on his Instagram page.

‘My brother, my everything, I bid you farewell as you liked; there are no words to explain what I feel at this moment but I will always remember you…’ one man wrote as he shared scenes from his funeral on Saturday. 

‘Follow the legacy Disner, rest in peace soon. I’ll see you again. This is not a goodbye, it’s a see you later.’

Another fan commented on one of his posts from September, writing: ‘Rest in peace Grishall Disner. My heart is with you and those who loved you.’

‘The news of your passing is devastating and reminds us that mental health is just as important as physical health,’ he continued.

‘I want you to know that you weren’t alone in your fight. Many of us have been in dark times and needed help. 

‘It’s important to remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

‘Grishall Disner, I hope you found the peace you are looking for,’ he concluded.
