Grandmother, 90, leaves viewers in awe of her youthful look as she bops to Charli XCX in Home Bargains
A 90-year-old grandmother has delighted the internet after embracing her ‘brat-girl era with a little boogie to Charli XCX while out shopping.
Peggy Hunt, 90, was pushing her trolley down the aisle of Home Bargains with her granddaughter Amie-Beth when the Essex-born singer’s hit 360 started playing over the store’s speakers.
Stopping their shopping spree, Peggy, also from Essex, gleefully began to dance to the song in the aisle, waving her arms and wiggling her hips to the beat as the pair giggled.
Amie-Beth posted the clip on her TikTok account and it has since gone viral, with fans enthralled by Peggy’s dance moves – while also complimenting her on looking so good for 90.
One wrote: ‘Skincare routine when’ while another said ‘she looks at least 25 years younger [than 90]’.
Others were thrilled by the impromptu dance and wrote underneath the clip: ‘I love this diva and I wish her nothing but the best’ while another teased ‘a 365 party girl NEVER retires’.
Peggy’s dance comes after the British singer was announced as the recipient of the coveted Songwriter Of The Year prize at the BRIT awards.
Charli leads this year’s BRITs with five nominations, including Artist of the Year, Mastercard Album of the Year, Song of the Year with Mastercard, Dance Act, and Pop Act.

This prestigious prize, introduced in 2022, celebrates exceptional songwriting talent and was decided upon by a select panel of expert judges.
Previous winners are Raye, Ed Sheeran and Kid Harpoon.
Charli released her sixth studio album BRAT last June, earning the title of the most critically acclaimed album of the year and topping the UK Official Album Chart in October as well as sparking an entire neon green cultural explosion.
And while the viral singer is enjoying her wave of success, this is not the first time Peggy has gone viral either.
Amie-Beth’s grandmother previously caused a stir on TikTok after saying she’d rather ‘go thirsty’ then fork out for a single drink in Ibiza after finding out how much it costs.
Peggy, who originally hails from London’s East End, couldn’t believe the price of an alcoholic drink in the Balearic island after her granddaughter asked her to guess how much she recently paid.

The supportive granddaughter’s comments were flooded with praise for the 90-year-old, with fans joking they wanted her skin routine and complimenting her youthful look
She was so surprised at the cost of the beverage, that she said she would never visit the party destination – even going as far to say she would ‘rather go thirsty’.
The hilarious video, posted on TikTok, racked up almost 200,000 views, nearly 10,000 likes, and more than 100 comments in less than a day.
In it, Amie-Beth speaks to her grandmother Peggy about how much she spent on a single vodka and lemonade during a recent holiday to Ibiza – leaving the nonagenarian in absolute shock.
Speaking in the clip, Amie-Beth said: ‘Guess how much one vodka and lemonade costs in Ibiza?’.
She said: ‘€23. One vodka lemonade in Ibiza.’
Shocked, Peggy replied: ‘Well I ain’t b******* going there!’
Amie-Beth continued: ‘When we got two drinks, two vodkas and lemonade, it was €46…sometimes, it’s €8 for a bottle of water.’
To which, Peggy said: ‘I’d rather go thirsty.’
‘Times have changed,’ Amie-Beth added, in response to her grandmother’ hilarious response to the pricey drink.
But Peggy was still reeling from the price reveal and couldn’t believe it cost so much.
