Raunchy ‘pole-dancing’ rat will get freaky on practice giving commuters eye-popping show
The footage shows a likely disease-riddled rodent that shocked commuters when it climbed the vertical rail impressively on a New York subway with people scrambling to get away
A raunchy rat has been getting freaky on a subway pole in some wild scenes as commuters boarded a train in New York.
The risqué rodent boarded a Manhattan-bound train carriage in Queens on February 18 in the early afternoon and caused quite a stir. As footage was shared to social media it became clear the eye-popping display gave passengers more than they bargained for.
Showing a surprising level of agility, the critter darted up the pole and twisted in impressive fashion around the shiny pole before retreating to the ground, reports The New York Post.
Amanda Maillard, who was travelling on the subway at the time, told the paper that people were moving out of the way. “Just trying to get away from it really, and then…this diva decided to climb the pole,” the 30-year-old said.
Maillard added that “she (the rat) was definitely putting on the show”. Later, when her video was shared on the Instagram account, Subway Creatures, the rat gained an entirely new fanbase.
“Why did no one throw it some ones,” wrote @gldf1nch. “Show some support.” @fj_ro117 said: “Poor rat is pole dancing to make ends meet. It’s a tough world out there.”
“The thought of someone grabbing that pole later sends shivers down my spine,” said another. “She’s trying her best,” read another remark. “It’s amateur night.”
Gabrielex83 says: “They’re the cleanest thing that touched those poles.”
