‘Beauty advisor’ trainer arrested for ‘having intercourse with a scholar at highschool the place this has occurred earlier than’
A California high school teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a student in a scandal that echoes previous charges against another teacher at the institution.
Dulce Flores, 28, was arrested on Tuesday after she formed ‘an inappropriate’ relationship with a 17-year-old male student at Riverbank High School in 2023, according to Riverbank Police.
The Spanish language teacher had worked at the school since 2016. and according to her LinkedIn, she also worked as a beauty advisor for a cosmetics company.
Police said in a statement that the investigation began after a school official received information about the relationship.
Flores was arrested in her home and charged with one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, police said.
The school district previously told The Modesto Bee that they will cooperate with investigators if necessary and have placed Flores on leave pending the investigation.
The district furthered that it would communicate with parents and students enrolled in Flores’ classes to minimize ‘any disruption to their instruction for the remainder of the academic year.’
Superintendent Constantio Aguilar said in a release: ‘It is truly unfortunate for our district to face a situation like this. While we continue to work with law enforcement, the district will also look to determine what options it may have available to independently address the matter.’

The Sheriff’s Office thanked the school district for its ‘prompt reporting’ and cooperation that ‘assisted investigators in determining the circumstances of the sensitive case.’
Her current inmate status was not immediately available. It is unclear if Flores has entered a plea.
This isn’t the first time a Riverbank High School staff member was arrested for allegedly having sex with a student.
However, in 2023 Riverbank High School was caught up in a similar scandal after a former basketball coach, who was 23 at the time, was accused of having sexual relations with a 16-year-old.
Logan Nabors faces charges related to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and oral copulation.
Cops have said the alleged relationship took place from 2017 to 2018.
