Judgement Day will occur in only a few years, says secret 900-year-old Vatican e book
An 900-year old book that claims to predict the Day of Judgement has attracted attention for the author’s somewhat psychic ability to reference and predict future Popes
An eerie 900-year-old book discovered in the archives of the Vatican seems to predict the year the of Judgement Day will happen.
The ominous book in question is titled the ‘Prophecy of the Popes’ and was written by Saint Malachy in the 12th Century. The text contains a series of Latin phrases that are believed to describe every pope ranging from Celestine II in 1143 and concluding with the current leader of the church Pope Francis.
It is also said to predict the Day of Judgement, when Christians believe Jesus will return to Earth to figure out who will be saved and who will be damned. The saint said the day would occur in 2027.
The last passage of the text reads: “In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End.”
Some have interpreted this passage infers that someone called ‘Peter’ will take over as the Pope due to Francis’ current respiratory crisis caused by a significant amount of mucus accumulating in his lungs and bronchial spasms, reports Mail.
Saint Malachy, the author of the book, claimed the ‘Prophecy of Popes’ was written after receiving a vision during a visit to Rome in 1139. However, some scholars are not convinced with the origins of the text and allege it’s a forgery of the saint’s work from the 16th Century.
Saint Malachy’s alleged predictions have been taken seriously in the past years. One of the saint’s prophecies named the 111th pope as Gloria Olivae – meaning “Glory to the olive”.
The Order of Saint Benedicts are known as the Olivetans, which has led some in the Catholic church to believe Saint Malachy allegedly predicted the pope between 2005 and 2013.
Other lines from the text have also attracted attention for Saint Malachy’s alleged ability to predict future events.
A line of the book reads “De labore Solis”, which means eclipse of the sun. Some have speculated that this line predicted the arrival of Pope John Paul the pope from 1978 until 2005. This due to the Pope being born during a solar eclipse in the 1920s.
