Liverpool, having lifted the League Cup trophy more times than any other team (10), are gunning for their third win in four seasons. Last year, they triumphed over Chelsea 1-0 after extra time and also clinched victory against the same team in 2022, reports Wales Online.

Under Eddie Howe’s leadership, Newcastle narrowly missed out on their first silverware since 1955 when they were defeated by Manchester United in the 2023 final. However, they’re back this year, hoping to break their dry spell.
