Alan Shearer and his daughter have a good time with squad as gamers descend on BoxPark
Alan Shearer and his daughter joined in the celebrations with Newcastle players and fans at Boxpark Wembley following their Carabao Cup triumph
London was packed with black and white on Sunday night as Newcastle celebrated ending their 70-year trophy wait.
The Magpies beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Carabao Cup final thanks to goals from Dan Burn and Alexander Isak, writing their name in the Newcastle history books.
Geordies made the 600-mile round journey to the capital over the weekend as even those without a ticket made the trip down. And it was all worth it as the Magpies were left celebrating long after the full-time whistle.
The nearby Wembley Boxpark had been designated for Newcastle fans with the venue turning into a party scene after the game, as players joined fans after lifting the trophy just a stone’s throw away.
Pictures saw Burn and Joelinton posing with fans, while Bruno Guimaraes was seen leading the celebrations on one of the balconies and Geordie hero Alan Shearer and his daughter Chloe also revelled in the success.
Chloe was spotted dancing to ‘Pump It Up!’ while Shearer got his hands on a medal by posing with goalkeeper Mark Gillespie.
Shearer grabbed a photo with Burn and Joelinton before the Brazilian sparked the celebrations as he danced with his wife Thays Gondim on the Boxpark balcony before spraying champagne on the fans below.
Fellow Brazilian Bruno Guimaraes got involved with the party as he orchestrated the scenes from the balcony above and later shared a picture of him with his wife Ana Lidia Martins, who had his winners medal around her neck.
The midfield pair were joined by their third midfield prong, Sandro Tonali, who also revelled in the celebrations at Boxpark as the trio dominated the Liverpool engine room as the Magpies won the key battle in the middle of the park.
Tonali and his partner Juliette Pastore also took in the atmosphere with the Geordie faithful, as the two posed with the Italian’s medal.
Juliette has struck up a good friendship with Joelinton’s wife Thays, with the two joining the Toon Army in Covent Garden before the final.
Despite missing the final through suspension, Anthony Gordon partied away at Boxpark as he was serenaded by fans with his own chant.
