Jaw-dropping golf influencer Paige Spiranac will make a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2, after the stunner was spotted in the comedy film.
Eagle-eyed golf fans spotted their favourite blonde bombshell as the highly-anticipated sequel teed off with its first trailer on Tuesday (March 18). In the trailer, Paige can be seen in a virtual golf course with Adam Sandler’s iconic character, Happy Gilmore.
The stunner is left shocked, with the rest of the cast, as Happy Gilmore – an ice hockey player turned golfing sensation – breaks the simulator.
“The fact that I’m in the Happy Gilmore 2 movie is actually insane,” she gushed on social media. And one fan responded: “So flipping cool!”
“Was that you at the end with the TGL practice simulator,” a confused fan asked. As another added: “Happy Gilmore is one the the greatest movies of all time. I hope this one does it justice!”
Paige wasn’t golf’s only famous face in the trailer – Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau also all feature from the world of golf.
While the likes of Kansas City Chiefs star – and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend – Travis Kelce as well as AEW wrestler MJF and rapper Bad Bunny are also confirmed to be in the film.
The highly anticipated sequel will hit Netflix this summer, from July 25, almost almost three decades after the original film, which sees a failing ice hockey star compete in a golf tournament to save his grandmother’s home from foreclosure.
Happy will be returning to the golf course following his victory at The 1996 Tour Championship. And fans loved the teaser trailer, dubbing it as “nostalgia at its finest”.
“This actually looks and feels very reminiscent of Adam’s old movies! So stoked,” one viewer said. And another added: “I remember my Dad took me to the 1st film when I was a kid. I’m now 36 and I can watch this with my son now.”
The excitement continued as another fan said: “My inner child is screaming with joy,” and yet another added: “My life is complete.
“This is going to be nostalgia at its finest! Can’t wait!” Meanwhile, another reflected humorously: “Childhood classic! I’m old, lol! Can’t wait for this one!”
Paige has previously posed in lacy white lingerie with two beer pitchers in hand to recreate the iconic “Happy Place” scene from the 1996 comedy, which originally saw actress Julie Bowen of Modern Family fame take on the role of Happy’s love interest, Virginia Venit.
Captioning the post: “I was born ready”, Spiranac quoted a cast list for the sequel created by the X account ‘Tour Golf’, which optimistically had the golfer turned influencer in the role of ‘Public Relations Lady’.
