Katie Price straddled F1 automotive in raunchy photoshoot and labored as Eddie Jordan’s grid woman
Katie Price was once part of Eddie Jordan Racing and straddled one of the team’s F1 cars in a very racy grid girl photoshoot with former Page 3 models
Former Page 3 model Katie Price left little to the imagination as she straddled an F1 car when posing as a grid girl during one of Eddie Jordan‘s publicity stunts.
The F1 supremo, who died on Thursday aged 76 after a battle with cancer, loved to bring the glitz and glam to the showpiece and grid girls were once a common sight at Grand Prix events worldwide.
Before the era of Netflix documentaries and social media, they were used by F1 bosses to broaden the sport’s appeal.
The F1 icon, who helmed the Jordan GP team from 1991 to 2005, was instrumental in introducing some of the more glamorous grid girls. He once attributed the constant stream of women clad in yellow and black to main sponsor Benson and Hedges.
He would undoubtedly take pride in the brilliant marketing move of having Price – then modelling under her alias Jordan – pose with his vehicles.
One particularly provocative photo featured the sultry young model straddling the nose of one of the team’s cars.
Her form-fitting attire left little to the imagination for the assembled photographers, while ‘Jordan’ was prominently displayed on the back of her minuscule shorts.
Price was far from the only stunning model used to boost the profile of Jordan’s F1 team. He was frequently photographed alongside a bevy of beautiful women, all clad in yellow and black outfits emblazoned with the Benson and Hedges logo.
Another snap features Eddie donning a matching raincoat and cap, crouching in front of one of his cars, while Price is accompanied by fellow models Emma Noble and Melinda Messenger.
In that same 1998 photoshoot, team driver Damon Hill was also pictured alongside Price and Messenger. Other former Jordan drivers who participated in such promotional campaigns included the likes of Ralf Schumacher, Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato.
Jordan passed away on Thursday after he revealed he had been battling an “aggressive form” of prostate and bladder cancer, which spread to his spine and pelvis, late last year.
A family statement said: “Eddie passed away peacefully with family by his side in Cape Town in the early hours of 20th March 2025 at the age of 76, after battling with an aggressive form of prostate cancer for the past 12 months.”
