Luke Littler hilarious crowd second after ‘pub darts rating’ earlier than instantly hitting 180
Luke Littler shared a hilarious moment with fans in Cardiff as the world champion scored only 11 on a visit to the board before he immediately hit a 180
Luke Littler shared a hilarious reaction with the crowd after he scored just 11 before hitting a 180 in the next visit.
‘The Nuke’ was full of confidence for Night 7 of the Premier League Darts in Cardiff, with his performance and interactions with the crowd proving exactly that.
The world champion brushed Nathan Aspinall aside in imperious fashion, beating his close ally 6-3 with a 102.21 average, crushing ‘The Asp’s’ 88.73 average.
But one visit during the game threatened to de-rail his match as Littler scored just 11. ‘The Nuke’ threw two darts into the single five before over-adjusting and landing his third dart in the single one.
As Littler walked to the board to retrieve his darts, fans greeted the score with cheers. Littler returned to the back of the stage where he looked at spectators in disbelief and shared a laugh in the comical moment.
Fans at home were hopeful for a faint minute that they had a chance to make it professional themselves, with one user commenting on X: “Just looked up and Littler is on 490. Talk about a pub score.” While a second added: “Luke Littler scoring 11, maybe I stand a chance.”
However, ‘The Nuke’ had the last laugh as he immediately replied with a 180 and left himself on a checkout after nine darts in the leg despite kicking off the leg with a measly score.
Fans soon switched back to being in a state of awe, as one said: “Luke Littler scores 11 takes the p*** out of himself and then throws a 180. The kid is a JOKE!!”
A second added: “Littler hits 11 and comes back with a 180. I’d hit 11 and follow it up with another 11.” While a third echoed: “Oh wait backs it up with a 180, nevermind.”
