Some fans have taken Google to leave their verdict, with one describing the series as ‘more than perfect’.

They penned: ‘Smiling, I got scared, cried, felt chills, felt angry, screamed, I learn, I complained… This series is more than perfect, it’s wonderful, I said perfect!’

Another wrote: ‘Literally one of the best shows I’ve ever seen! You would think with sci fi with this many seasons it would get repetitive BUT IT DIDN’T, every episode is unique and thrilling.

‘This show is definitely gonna take you on an emotional rollercoaster. As a filmmaker and writer I love how passionate everyone seemed on screen and behind, you can just tell. I gotta give it to the writers.

‘Phenomenal job. I just finished the last episode on NETFLIX I’ve been crying for a solid 30mins. LUV THE SHOW!’

Someone else described The 100 as ‘underrated’ and said: ‘The most underrated show. One need to understand the complexity of human psychology and different morality to really understand this story.

‘It shows a beautiful portrayal of how life is not always black or white, good or evil, it enhances the grey areas of life and survival. The decisions we have to make in difficult times for the good of some people might be catastrophic for others.

‘The way this show emphasises that “there are no good guys”, “who we are & what we need to do to survive are different things” and the fact being a leader is very difficult journey is beautifully implied. And with sci-fi, apocalyptic genre, sets the series apart and the best one I’ve ever watched.’

Another fan chimed in: ‘Great show. Very intelligent. Extremely brilliant and bright. The writer and creator of this show is way ahead of his time and Has an a cute and extremely bright mind.’

While one viewer wrote: ‘This show is absolutely breathtaking. I am only at the end of season one and it has kept me on edge since I began watching it.

‘The emotion shown by the cast in their performance is truly amazing, and the plot has me biting my nails and talking to the TV.

‘It brings an incredible new element to the dystopian genre, and is a great show for anyone over 13. I look forward to watching the next 6 seasons.’

However, not everyone has been impressed with the sci-fi series and one commented: ‘I can’t say I’m impressed. I started watching this cause I thought it’ll be a different sci-fi series. It has only an okay storyline.

‘First of all, why would 10 people die just to save 1 person? It makes no sense anymore. It’s like a cliched cliché.

‘The whole series is about a group of teenagers who are saving their world. In every season, the main story is how one clan is trying to protect themselves regardless of what happens to others.’

Someone else wrote: ‘Honestly one of the most disappointing shows I had the displeasure of ever watching. An extremely strong premise of post apocalyptic world with a group of children trying to survive in a unfamiliar world after being separated from their parents.

‘Early on you get to see the dangers that the earth now has on it, you catch a glimpse of a mutated deer, and are left wondering what else could be lurking.’
