Revealed: Eddie Jordan’s final public phrases – on podcast launched TODAY – hours earlier than his loss of life at 76
Eddie Jordan’s final public words were released just hours before his death on his podcast with David Coulthard.
The legendary ex-F1 team owner and analyst Jordan died in the early hours of Thursday morning at the age of 76 following a battle with bladder and prostate cancer.
But he fought bravely right until the end, and was happy to appear alongside Coulthard on an episode of Formula For Success that was aired on Thursday morning.
During his appearance on the show, Jordan proved his cancer fight did not cripple his humour as he made a sex gag that left Coulthard squirming.
The pair were answering fans’ questions and Coulthard spoke about being asked whether he ever fancied getting back into a car to race in his 50s.
Coulthard revealed his response was always that his peak was in his 30s, and he would just be a worse version of himself nowadays.

Jordan quickly shot back: ‘Does that apply to your sex drive as well, David?’
Coulthard chuckled before replying: ‘No, I’m getting better at that!’
Jordan was having none of it as he jokingly replied: ‘You lying b******!’
He then added: ‘Don’t get too high on your own supply,’ to which Coulthard responded: ‘No complaints!’
Jordan ended the hilarious interaction by pronouncing he was ‘very happy to hear’ Coulthard was having no problems with his sex life.
Coulthard is currently engaged to Swedish model Sigrid Silversand after they began dating in 2023.
He previously married Belgian F1 correspondent Karen Minier in 2013, but they divorced nine years later.
Jordan himself was married to his wife Marie for 46 years after they tied the knot in 1979.
