Laurence Fox charged with intercourse offences after he allegedly ‘shared upskirting pic’ of TV star Narinder Kaur in on-line row
Disgraced actor turned right-wing online provocateur Laurence Fox has been charged with a sexual offence after allegedly sharing an upskirting picture of TV star Narinder Kaur.
The three-times failed election candidate – once best known for his stint on ITV detective drama Lewis before he turned to posting online – allegedly shared an explicit image of the broadcaster on his X account in April last year.
He is accused of making the post to his then-400,000 followers in the midst of an online spat with Ms Kaur over politics.
The picture was taken in 2009 as the Good Morning Britain and Jeremy Vine regular got out of a taxi – without her knowledge or consent.
Fox, of Essex, is alleged to have shared the image online – an offence under Section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
It criminalised the sending or giving of explicit photographs with the intent of causing alarm, distress or humiliation, or for sexual gratification. It is also known as ‘cyberflashing’.
The offence was introduced as part of the Online Safety Act 2023, and came into force in January last year, three months before Fox is alleged to have made the post.
MailOnline understands Fox was charged with the offence within the last week by postal requisition. He has been ordered to appear in court in a month’s time.

Ms Kaur reported Fox to the Met Police after he allegedly shared the image in April 2024

She is a regular panelist on programmes such as Good Morning Britain (above), where she is renowned for her outspoken and opinionated commentary
A Met spokesperson said: ‘A man has been charged with a sexual offence following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
‘Laurence Fox, 46, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 24 April charged with an offence contrary to section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
‘The charge relates to an image that was posted on social media platform in April 2024.’
Posting on X at the time Ms Kaur, 52, said the image was ‘unimaginably mortifying’.
She is best known as an outspoken panelist on shows including Good Morning Britain, Jeremy Vine On 5 and Loose Women – after getting her start on reality show Big Brother in 2001.
Fox, meanwhile addressed the alleged post in an extended follow-up the next day, in which he said he ‘would like to apologise’ to Ms Kaur.
However, he then went on to say, ‘it’s not my fault’ the TV star was pictured in the compromising image more than 15 years ago.
Fox dropped acting in favour of a career in right-wing provocation after he was dropped by his talent agency over controversial remarks he made on Question Time.

Fox was a presenter on GB News until he was unceremoniously sacked for making degrading comments about political journalist Ava Evans on Dan Wootton’s show (pictured)

Fox had asked ‘who’d want to s***’ Evans (pictured) – a comment she said made her feel ‘physically sick’
He was dumped after claiming that an audience member calling him a ‘white privileged male’ was racist during a discussion about Meghan Markle, and later admitted he had been radicalised by YouTube videos crusading against ‘wokeness’.
His posts lashing out at ‘woke’ culture, political correctness and gender have provoked widespread criticism – as have those spreading conspiracy theories about COVID-19 and vaccines.
He founded the Reclaim Party in 2020, which gained its first and only MP in Andrew Bridgen in 2023 after he was expelled from the Tories for comments comparing the COVID-19 vaccine to the Holocaust. Bridgen left months later.
Fox has stood for election three times: in 2021 for the London mayoralty, in the 2023 Uxbridge and South Ruislip by-election and in 2024 for the London Assembly.
Each time, he failed to receive enough votes to receive his deposit back. He also attempted to stand for the London mayoralty in 2024, but did not fill in the nomination forms correctly and so was barred from running.
Fox presented a regular Friday night show on GB News for a time, but was suspended and later sacked for making derogatory comments about political journalist Ava Evans on a panel chaired by co-star Dan Wootton.
He said of the reporter: ‘We’re past the watershed so I can say this… show me a single, self-respecting man that would like to climb into bed with that woman…ever?Who’d want to s*** that?’
Evans later said the remarks made her feel ‘physically sick’, while Fox would later say: ‘I stand by every word of what I said’. He lashed out at ‘cancel culture’ after GB News sacked him – but Ofcom found the comments broke broadcasting rules.
Fox was previously married to actress Billie Piper, with whom he has two children. They separated after nine years.

Fox was married to actress Billie Piper for nine years (the pair pictured in 2015). Piper has since said of their marriage: ‘Divorce speaks for itself’
Ms Piper spoke out for the first time last year about their split, saying: ‘Divorce speaks for itself.’
The 41-year-old former popstar said: ‘I try to keep people from telling me stuff but it’s really, really hard. I don’t read it but everyone wants to talk about it.
‘Sometimes I have to say to people: “Please don’t bring this to me, now or ever.”‘
Fox said on March 9 he would remove himself from social media for three months after uninstalling the app from his mobile phone.
He wrote: ‘As promised app removed after this final tweet. See you in 3 months… Very excited to not know what’a (sic) going on during that period.
‘I imagine it’ll be same s***, different day. But I love to be proven wrong.’
However, he posted a video on social media on Tuesday afternoon after news of his charge broke.
MailOnline has approached Fox for comment.
