Urgent manhunt for knife-wielding thug after supply driver ‘stabbed and robbed’ in broad daylight
An urgent manhunt has been launched for knifeman who allegedly stabbed and robbed a delivery driver in broad daylight.
The driver was attacked on a residential street in Greenwich at around 5.30pm on Tuesday.
It is believed he was targeted by thugs who then stole parcels from his van.
Police said on Wednesday no arrests have been made and that the knifeman remains at large.
Emergency services were called to Blissett Street yesterday afternoon to reports of a stabbing.
The victim was treated at the scene by firefighters from nearby Greenwich Fire Station before being treated by paramedics.
The delivery driver was rushed to hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for the Met said: ‘Police were called shortly after 17:30hrs on Tuesday, 25 March to reports of a stabbing in the vicinity of Blissett Street, SE18.
