Schoolgirl, 13, is invited to hitch Mensa after reaching most rating on IQ take a look at with no time to arrange – even increased than Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking: however how would YOU do?

A 13-year-old girl has been invited to join Mensa after getting the maximum score on the IQ test – higher than Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

Sofia Kot Arcuri has been accepted into the club after achieving the highest possible score for a girl of her age – 162 – despite not preparing for the exam.

Proud mother Cecylia Kot Arcuri, 36, said she always knew Sofia was smart.

Mum-of-three Cecylia, from Kings Hill, Kent, said: ‘In primary school she was top of the class.

‘She got incredibly high 11 plus results and got a place in a grammar school without a struggle.

‘She just walks around throwing random facts at you.

‘When you think of someone of high intelligence, you’d think they’d be quite geeky, but really, she’s a normal girl.

‘She’s got loads of friends, is bubbly and loved by everyone.

‘I expected her to be at the top but not the highest result – it was a real shock to us’.

Due to Sofia’s intense workload from school, she ‘didn’t have time to prepare’ for the test in January, and hadn’t practised any Mensa tests prior to the big day.

She got the results on 14 March.

Cecylia added: ‘She was over the moon.

‘I stood by the door filming her reaction as she opened the envelope. She’s chuffed.’

Cecylia said: ‘She came home one day and said, ‘there was a bug the teacher didn’t even know how to solve and I did it’.

‘She’s also a ballet dancer and performs in shows with her dance school.

‘She loves musical theatre and is always playing the piano.’

Sofia’s school friends were all overjoyed at the result and ‘didn’t think it was real at first’.

Sofia said: ‘It was a bit nerve-wracking going into the test, the layout was weird.

‘When I found out I was really happy’.

With mum Cecylia working as a financial controller for one of her clients in her virtual assistant job, ‘maths and numbers definitely run in Sofia’s blood’.

She said: ‘My dad, her grandfather Antoni Kot, who was a head teacher and mathematician, he was well known in our area in Poland and was tutoring students up until when he died at the age of 86 in 2023.

‘His brain was sharp even in his last minutes and we believe Sofia inherited her love of maths and coding from him’.
