Kayleigh McEnany’s Gushing On-Air Tribute To Elise Stefanik Has People Howling
Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany faced mockery on Thursday over the way in which she wrapped up an interview with Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.).
McEnany had critics on social media cringing after she called Stefanik a “selfless warrior.”
Stefanik appeared on the conservative network to talk about President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw her nomination as his U.S. ambassador to the United Nations so that she can remain in the House, where Republicans have a razor-thin majority.
McEnany, a Trump first-term White House press secretary, kicked off the exchange by hailing Stefanik as “selfless” and “really heroic” for sacrificing the ambassador role for the sake of furthering Trump’s agenda.
Stefanik, meanwhile, claimed it was important she stay in Congress because she is “committed to delivering results” for the MAGA movement.
At the end of the chat, McEnany took her fawning over Stefanik to a new level, saying: “You’re being praised as a selfless warrior and I look very much forward to seeing what the bright future holds for you.”
