UK procuring centre terror as man ‘assaults with scissors’ after confrontation
A man attacked another with a pair of scissors in Priory Shopping Centre in Dartford Kent yesterday as shoppers watched on in horror before security guards arrived
Horrified shoppers witnessed a man allegedly attack another with a pair of scissors in a retail centre. The altercation took place at the Priory Shopping Centre, in Dartford, Kent, yesterday.
Footage shared on X, formerly Twitter, shows the man with the scissors repeatedly try to strike the other man who is trying desperately to avoid being hit. It starts with the armed man jumping at the other man while trying to hit the other man.
The man shifts to the right and tried to grab the smaller aggressor with the scissors. The two are locked in a clinch as the smaller man swings his right arm trying to hit the bigger man with the scissors.
He connects once while the man tried desperately to hold onto the hand with the scissors. The two break up as the bigger man backs up as the man with the scissors flicks his hand.
The bigger man calls on the other “put down” the scissors a number of times as security guards approach. One of them grabs the scissors-man as the other talks to the other man.
The video ends with the guards taking away the smaller man. Kent Police said a man suffered injuries to his head and finger.
A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police is investigating allegations of an assault at the Priory Shopping Centre in Dartford, on Thursday March 27, 2025. It is reported that at around 12.40pm a suspect armed with scissors injured another man.
“The suspect was restrained by security staff and was arrested by attending police officers shortly after. The victim was taken to hospital for wounds to his head and finger.
“Bassan Biro, 24, of Gillingham High Street, was later charged with attempted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon, and affray.
“He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 28.”
The Priory Shopping Centre is close to a large Sainsbury’s store and the centre of Dartford. The shopping centre has been contacted for comment.
