Bennett Anderson was ‘lost in the sauce’ of a jaw-dropping ESPN reporter after his dream came true when appearing for the Florida Gators

A jaw-dropping ESPN reporter had Bennett Anderson ‘lost in the sauce’ after he was part of a victorious Florida Gators side during March Madness.

The Gators booked their spot in the Elite 8 as they beat the Texas Tech Red Raiders 84-79 in a close encounter at the Chase Centre.

And after the game, Talia Baia caught up with Anderson after the Gators had booked their spot in the Elite 8.

But basketball fans all noticed he couldn’t take his eyes off the blonde bombshell, with one even joking: “I think a young man fell in love!”

“Bro’s better than me, I would’ve folded,” a second said. While a third replied: “That man was absolutely lost in the sauce during this interview lol!”

“He looking at her the way a dog looks at you when you have a treat in your hand,” a fourth joked. And another added: “Bro is just like me. How do you focus during an interview with her?”

It has been quite the rise for Anderson – he was the University of Florida equipment manager for three years before, in 2023 he decided to walk-on.

American collegiate sports allow players to attend try-outs, and Bennett impressed enough to earn a spot on the team alongside those who had been head-hunted from high school.

And after making his appearances in the Sweet 16, he made a bucket which helped the Gators into the Elite 8.

“It felt amazing,” Bennett explained. “I just ran after the rebound, there’s no reason for me to get back on defence at that point of the game… so I’m just trying to get back on the rebound!”

“Hopefully these guys take care of business so I can play again, hopefully I can get another bucket,” he joked when asked about his hopes of playing in the Elite 8.
