Model marks break up from Team GB Olympic icon with recent ink – together with face tattoo
Olympic boxing champion Nicola Adams, who made history by becoming the first woman to win a boxing gold medal, has called it quits with her girlfriend of seven years
An Olympic boxing champion has split up from her stunning girlfriend of seven years, with the latter choosing to get a face tattoo.
Nicola Adams, 42, and adult model Ella Baig have decided to end their relationship, even after therapy, the Sun reports. Adams, who became the first woman to win an Olympic gold medal for boxing, has a two-year-old son with Ella, born via IVF using one of Nicola’s eggs.
A spokesman for Nicola said: “Nicola and Ella have shared an incredible journey together, full of love, growth, and resilience. After much thoughtful reflection and important therapy work, they have made the difficult decision to separate.
“Their priority remains their son, Taylor, and they are committed to co-parenting with love and respect.”
A source close to Nicola and Ella said: “They really tried to make it work, especially for the sake of their son, and even went to couples’ therapy, but came to the conclusion that they were better off separating.”
Ella, who makes bank flogging racy snaps on the internet, appears to be bouncing back from the breakup by getting a face tattoo. One of the model’s Instagram stories shows Ella receiving a tasteful little triangle on her cheek, before she appears in front of the camera while “flipping the bird” and showing off her new ink.
The adult performer was dubbed “perfectly proportioned” by a fan in one of her latest social media posts and further stories show her lounging around on a bed.
Nicola meanwhile appears to have been hanging out with UK boxing legend Ricky Hatton, who she recently hosted the British boxing awards 2025 with.
According to the Sun, Nicola met Ella in 2018 on a night out and began IVF in 2020, with the egg fertilised via a sperm donor who looked like Ella.
Ella told Hello! magazine in 2022 that the boy had Nicola’s boxing spirit, saying: “He was a fighter in my stomach and he’s definitely come out like that.”
Hailing from Leeds, Nicola made TV history in 2020 when she and Strictly dancer Katya Jones became the same-sex pair on the show.
But it was in the boxing ring where she really landed a blow, following her London 2012 triumph by winning Olympic gold again at Rio 2016.
