Woman, 46, is discovered useless at home as 50-year-old man is charged with homicide and household bear in mind ‘dearly beloved’ sister

A woman has sadly been found dead at a house, with police charging a 50-year-old man with murder.

Paramjit Kaur, 46, was discovered with serious injuries in Oldbury, West Midlands, at 8:20am on Monday morning but she tragically died at the scene.

Paying tribute, her family said: ‘On March 31st, we were deeply saddened by the heart breaking news of Paramjit Kaur (Soni)’s passing.

‘A kind, hardworking and dearly loved daughter, sister, and friend, she brought warmth to everyone around her. 

‘Her loss leaves us in profound sorrow, but her memory will forever live in our hearts.’

Police said Harminder Mattu has been charged with murder.

The 50-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Officers will be carrying out additional patrols in the area over the next few days.

Police are asking for anyone with concerns or information to contact them.
