Woman driving Prince Andrew intercourse accuser says ‘I’m not masking for her’ in main replace
Cheryl Sassela was behind the wheel Virginia Giuffre was in when it crashed and assures details of the crash currently shrouded in mystery will soon be cleared up by Giuffre
The woman driving the car Prince Andrew’s sex abuse accuser was in when it crashed insists she’s “not covering for her”.
Cheryl Sassela was behind the wheel of a white hatchback at the time of the accident that left Virginia Giuffre injured and revealing on social media she had just days to live. When asked about the crash, she said, “I’m not covering for her. I’m not implicated in a cover-up.”
Cheryl, a 71-year-old caretaker at Ms Giuffre’s weekend hobby farm, said there had been a misunderstanding regarding the crash that caused a broken taillight on her car. “I’m sure Virginia will release a statement soon to clear it all up,” she added.
Giuffre, formerly Virginia Roberts, is known for her allegations against Prince Andrew, which he’s always denied.
Ms Giuffre, a known victim of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, made international headlines earlier this week after posting an image of extensive bruising.
She posted snaps of her supposed injuries on Instagram and the activist from Sacramento, California, said she was taken to a specialist hospital for her kidney failure. She claimed the collision caused kidney failure and that doctors had given her four days to live. “This year has been the worst start to a new year,” Giuffre wrote.
“I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km [68 mph] as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can. I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live.”
Authorities have not confirmed the extent of Giuffre’s injuries.
In her caption to the Instagram post, Ms Giuffre said she was “ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time”.
According to reports, a spokesperson for Ms Giuffre said the Instagram post was a mistake and she had meant to share the post to her private Facebook page.
A previous statement said: “Virginia thanks everyone for the outpouring of love and support. She is overwhelmed with gratitude. Today she remains in (a) serious condition while receiving medical care.”
Australian cops confirmed a 41 year-old woman – believed to be Ms Giuffre – was riding as a passenger in a white Toyota Highlander when it tangled with a bus near Perth in Western Australia. What actually went down in the smash-up in Neergabby north of Perth on March 24 is still a bit of a mystery.
Ross Munns supported Western Australian police reports stating that the crash involving Virginia Giuffre was not serious.
“It’s just all blown out of proportion, and I know what happened. I didn’t even see her in the car,” he said.
Mr Munns, who has been a professional driver for 16 years, said he sounded his horn when the car Ms Giuffre was in began suddenly turning in front of him to get onto a side road.
He said he swapped details with the 71-year-old driver after the scrape, and they both drove away following the impact.
However, he decided to report it to the authorities as he felt “a little bit suss.”
When he rang the woman the next day, she told him that her passenger had suffered “a black eye.”
Munns claimed he was not aware Ms Giuffre was in the vehicle. A police report later confirmed a 41-year-old female passenger was present.
