The Grand National is undoubtedly the biggest horse race in the world, attracting both seasoned racing fans and casual punters alike. But with betting at the heart of this particular race, many are sure to be left confused at which horse to pick.
From a lucky name to a favoured colour – punters have weird and wonderful reasons behind their picks. But with many factors coming into picking the perfect horse, it’s hard to know where to place your money. The Daily Star reviewed a few tipsters and thought perhaps an alternative view might shed some light on the races to come.
Thus professional tarot reader, Inbaal Honigman, consulted her cards and predicted what could make the day for a Grand National attendee. From the perfect colour to the horse to choose, FruitySlots.com provided the ‘winning’ tips…
As for picking the most lucky outfit, Inbaal says go bold and bright. “In astrology, Jupiter is seen as the planet of luck. Named for the King of the Gods in Roman mythology, Jupiter was the God of Thunder and King of the Sky.

“Positive opportunities and abundance are drawn to the colour gold and to the colour yellow. Hues which are lucky can range all the way from the palest yellow to the shiniest gold.”
As for the winning horse, Inbaal had a few thoughts. “The tarot raises four horses to the top, each with a covetable Major Arcana card. Intense Raffles is the lucky recipient of the highest tarot card of the lot, and therefore has the best chance of winning.”
It appears the 7-year-old Irish contender has the best chance of winning, according to the cards.
Inbaal added: “Vanillier receives the strength card, a tarot card associated with the no-nonsense full-force of the sign of Leo. This card suggests that even imperfect conditions won’t deter Vanillier from putting in wonderful effort.
“Intense Raffles receives the sun card, a tarot card linked with success and achievement. It is a powerful card, and speaks of a consistent performance every second of the way.
“Minella Cocooner is the lucky horse to get the wheel of fortune card, a tarot card of good outcomes. It’s a card of fortune as its name suggests, and it shows positive circumstances, so the day’s conditions might be Minella Cocooner’s favourite.”
As for another punt: “Hyland receives the chariot card, this is a tarot card of a harmonious journey. It reveals that Hyland will be focused and ambitious, and whether he wins or not, he’ll certainly do himself proud.”
