LIV Golf star Cameron Smith goes viral for weird outfit forward of the Masters
Golf star Cameron Smith has gone viral after wearing a suit for his final practice round ahead of the Masters.
The Australian, who is chasing his second major win and a first at Augusta, was spotted wearing the formal outfit on Wednesday.
From Thursday through Sunday, the best players in the world will battle it out for the fabled green jacket.
But on the eve of the Masters, LIV star Smith opted for a blue blazer over the top of his polo shirt as he went through his final preparations.
The Australian is among the high-profile players who defected from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf, joining the Saudi-backed breakaway in 2022.
That controversial move followed Smith’s win at the Open Championship, when he secured the Claret Jug – his first major – by holding off Rory McIlroy at St Andrews.

Smith finished in a tie for sixth at last year’s Masters and has also finished tied third (2022) and tied second (2021) at Augusta.
But, with FanDuel, the Australian is +5500 (55/1) to win this year, with defending champion Scottie Scheffler tipped to triumph once more.
McIlroy, meanwhile is looking to end his 11-year major drought and the Northern Irishman admitted this week that he is ready to go through ‘heartbreak’ again.
McIlroy has had a series of near misses on the hunt for his first major since 2014 and the 35-year-old explained: ‘At a certain point in someone’s life, someone doesn’t want to fall in love because they don’t want to get their heart broken.
‘Instinctually as human beings we hold back sometimes because of the fear of getting hurt, whether that’s a conscious decision or subconscious decision, and I think I was doing that on the golf course a little bit for a few years.
‘But once you go through that, once you go through those heartbreaks you get to a place where you remember how it feels and you wake up the next day and you’re like, “yeah, life goes on, it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be”.
‘It’s going through those times, especially in recent memory, where the last few years I’ve had chances to win some of the biggest golf tournaments in the world and it hasn’t quite happened. But life moves on. You dust yourself off and you go again.’
