China trolls Trump with viral AI clip mocking overweight Americans working in factories
Social media users have been trolling Trump and America with an AI-generated video mocking American workers in sweat-shop like factories for being obese and dim-witted
As a full scale trade war begins, AI and art are becoming new weapons.
Chinese social media users have created an AI-generated video mocking Americans working factory jobs.
The viral clip shows a series of depressed looking obese “Americans” using all their efforts to slowly sew garments and build smartphones. The background of the video shows other “Americans”, all also rotund, squeezed onto a packed shop floor.
One part of the clip shows one overweight, middle aged worker looking severely depressed and dim-witted as he stares off into space and sews a white bra.
The video is set to Chinese music and captioned: “Make America great again #tariff #america.”
This AI-generated video was created to mock Donald Trump and his administration’s idea to bring manufacturing jobs back to America as part of his tariff plan.
This jibe came after JD Vance horrifically called Chinese workers peasants.
Speaking to Fox News last week , Vance asked: “What has the globalist economy gotten the United States of America? And the answer is, fundamentally, it’s based on two principles – incurring a huge amount of debt to buy things that other countries make for us.
“To make it a little more crystal clear, we borrow money from Chinese peasants to buy the things those Chinese peasants manufacture.”
He added: “That is not a recipe for economic prosperity, it is not a recipe for low prices, and it’s not a recipe for good jobs in the United States of America.”
Although the AI video was not an official response from China, Beijing has responded properly to Vance’s comments.
Lin Jian, the spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry, said: “It’s both astonishing and lamentable to hear this vice-president make such ignorant and disrespectful remarks.”
The foreign ministry said: “Pressure, threats and blackmail are not the right way to deal with China.”
Other Chinese social media users have hit back at Vance too.
According to CNN , one Weibo user wrote: “We may be peasants, but we have the world’s best high-speed rail system, the most powerful logistics capabilities, and leading AI, autonomous driving, and drone technologies. Aren’t such peasants quite impressive?”
Earlier today, April 9, Trump backtracked on his blanket world tariffs while maintaining his pressure on China.
On Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World’s Markets, I am hereby raising the Tariff charged to China by the United States of America to 125%, effective immediately.
“At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of ripping off the U.S.A., and other Countries, is no longer sustainable or acceptable.”
