Manchester United will be looking to recoup transfer fees in order to finance a blockbuster move for Ruben Amorim.

After a cash-strapped January window, Amorim will be hoping the purse strings at Old Trafford are loosened as the club have to sell before they can launch huge transfer fees for players in the summer.

A new goalkeeper has become a vital summer transfer target for Amorim following his decision to drop Andre Onana from the Premier League defeat against Newcastle United as he continues to make costly mistakes even at the end of his second season at Old Trafford.

While the ongoing striker situation, now a crisis after Joshua Zirkzee’s injury against Newcastle, give Amorim further headaches.

United are reportedly considering making a blockbuster move for Juventus sensation Kenan Yildiz.

The 19-year-old star was named 2024 Golden Boy and his ability to play Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation is also key, with the Turkey international scoring eight goals and five assists in 44 games so far this season from a left winger or No.10 role.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, United are looking to move on several players to recoup funds and those fees could go towards signing the Juventus star. However, it’s said a huge proposal worth €90million (£77m) would be required.

Amorim’s search for a new goalkeeper has reportedly taken them to Southampton’s relegation battered squad and Aaron Ramsdale.

The former Arsenal keeper joined the Saints after being replaced by David Raya but wants to remain in the Premier League with the World Cup coming next summer.

According to The Sun, United are one of a number of clubs keeping tabs on the 26-year-old, with West Ham and clubs overseas also interested in his signature.

In Amorim’s striker pursuit, United have reportedly made contact with Bayer Leverkusen over a potential move for Patrik Schick.

As per Sky Sports in Germany, the Red Devils are ‘monitoring the situation’ of the 29-year-old who could be available for €30million (£25.7m).

The Czech Republic international has 17 goals in 26 Bundesliga games this season and is also on the radar of Saudi Arabian clubs, but his preference is said to be joining the Premier League.
