Perv took secret photos of lady pal bare with digicam hidden in alarm clock
Heidi Calitri, 39, was left feeling ‘sick to her stomach’ after discovering that a photographer friend of seven years had taken nude pictures of her in his studio
A woman has spoken of her disgust and betrayal after discovering that her photographer friend had secretly taken naked photos of her during a shoot – intended to boost her confidence.
Heidi Calitri, 39, felt “sick to her stomach” when she learned that David Glover, 51, had been arrested for voyeurism after another victim came forward.
Glover, who worked as a photographer at various studios in Peterborough and southern England between 2011 and 2017, had used a hidden camera in an alarm clock to secretly film 103 women, including Heidi, in his home and studio changing rooms.
Heidi had confided in Glover about her struggles with an eating disorder, and he had invited her to his Lincolnshire studio for a photoshoot in 2016, supposedly to help her build her confidence.
However, after a 21-month investigation, it was revealed that Glover had taken multiple images of Heidi during five shoots, and he pleaded guilty to five counts of voyeurism at Peterborough Crown Court in March 2023.
Investigations revealed during this time he had used the covert camera to secretly film 103 women in his own home, or the changing rooms of three different studios.
He had previously invited Heidi into his Lincolnshire studio for a photoshoot in April 2016 after she’d confided in him about struggling with an eating disorder.
She contacted police finding out about Glover’s crimes in June 2021 and they confirmed confirmed he had ”multiple” images of Heidi, obtained during five shoots.
After a 21-month investigation, Glover pleaded guilty to five counts of voyeurism at Peterborough Crown Court in March 2023.
He was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison for incidents between March 2011 and March 2017.
A further six victims – including a pregnant woman he met for a maternity photoshoot – came forward after being secretly filmed while changing.
Investigations by Cambridge Police also revealed Glover had sexually assaulted a woman in September 2011 at her home in Lincolnshire after being contacted to carry out some photography work.
He pleaded guilty to the new charges – six counts of voyeurism and one count of sexual assault – in February 2025.
David Glover, of Deeping St James, Peterborough, was sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court in April 2025 where he was handed one year and three months in prison, suspended for two years.
Heidi, a hairdresser, from Lincolnshire, said: “I thought he was a friendly person, and we built a friendship over seven years. I was suffering from anorexia and I opened up to him about that – he prayed on this by telling me he wanted to take photographs of me to show me how beautiful I was.
“He was a good photographer, and I trusted him – I never thought he’d be capable of doing something like this to any woman let alone a friend. It makes me sick to my stomach that I was friends with someone like that. He’s destroyed my life, and I massively struggle to trust people now.
“I can’t even use changing rooms of any kind and I even find it hard to stay in hotels.”
Glover befriended Heidi after meeting through mutual friends in 2015, and it wasn’t long before he “persuaded” her to do a photoshoot in his studio.
Heidi, who was battling anorexia at the time, recalled feeling “hesitant” but trusted Glover as he was an “amazing” photographer.
She said: “I hadn’t known him for that long before he asked me to do a photoshoot, but we were in contact every day and he was someone I could open up to. He was funny and kind, and I enjoyed spending time with him.
“He’d speak about being a photographer all the time, and he had an amazing portfolio of work. When I told him about my anorexia, he convinced me that doing a photoshoot would help my confidence.
“When we did the first fashion shoot, it was great, so I did a few more with him over the years. I’d wear dresses, work out clothes, and sometimes a bikini top. He was always such a friendly person, but it was all lies.”
In June 2021, Heidi was stunned to read online that the ex-photographer had been charged with voyeurism offences involving 107 alleged victims over a period of six years.
His arrest came after another victim’s partner noticed something strange about a clock in the changing rooms – only to discover a camera inside which contained an SD card.
He took the card home and discovered footage of Glover setting up the camera before the victim entered the room and got changed for her photoshoot.
The couple took their findings to the police and the photographer was arrested at his home in Tallington, Lincolnshire.
After searching Glover’s house officers found a removable hard drive in his coat pocket which contained more than 900 covert videos.
She said: “I emailed the police as soon as I read the article to say I knew him and had my photos taken by him. They asked me to send an image of myself from 2015 so they could cross check. I had this awful feeling in my stomach.
“When I saw a censored image of myself, I couldn’t believe it.
“I had to confirm that it was me and I felt totally degraded and also really angry.”
Glover was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years and given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for the same timeframe, to monitor any future offending.
